Adding File Type Icons to Links Using CSS Atribute Selectors

You’ve probably seen websites use icons to distinguish what type of file links are pointing to. In this tutorial I will show you how to do this automatically using css attribute selectors. The cool thing about this method is that it works on IE7 and up and because it degrades gracefully, it doesn’t affect any browsers that do not support it.
