My name is Marty Romero, I design and build simple, usable, and attractive websites using web standards. I have been designing for 7 years and have learned the value of design in creating meaningful experiences. I believe design should be functional, not simply attractive. Last year I purchased a Canon Rebel XS. I know it's the little brother of the bunch, but as an amateur that I am, it is more than enough for now. I started a 365 project this year. I am not sure if I'll ever intergrate it into this blog, for now it is hosted over at flicker. Go take look and feel free to comment, criticize or just marvel.

My love for design began when I was young. I grew up in East L.A. surrounded by traditional and graffiti murals. I started painting graffiti when I was about 14. My interest in graffiti lead me to my interest in typography and letters. Although It's been several years since I painted anything, graffiti is still a huge influence in my designs. I keep a digital scrapbook of graffiti and graffiti related design over at flicker.
